Pricing

The manager is free. Smith is a subscription.

Nothing in the mod manager is ever paid and nothing in it is held back. Smith, the assistant, is priced in operations you can count, with the same model choice on every plan.

How it works

Counted so that you can predict it.

Operations, not tokens
A diagnosis, a patch or a pick is one operation regardless of how long the model thinks. Translation is counted in words. You see a counter, not a bill.
Monthly, no rollover
Allowances reset at the start of each billing period. What you did not use does not carry over, and you are never charged for going over: the feature waits for the next period, or you move up a plan.
Any model, any plan
Every plan can ask for every model. A heavier model uses the allowance faster; the app says so next to the model picker, in words, not in surprise invoices.
Fair use on Max
Max has no per-feature counts but does have a ceiling, stated as a number: about 2,000 operations a month. That is the honest form of a plan without per-feature counts.
Annual plans
Every plan is also sold yearly at a lower monthly equivalent. The exact yearly price is shown at checkout.
Founder pricing
Early subscribers keep the price they subscribed at for as long as their subscription stays continuously active, even when list prices change later.
14-day refund
Your first Smith payment can be refunded within 14 days, for any reason. The details are in the refund policy.
Cancel any time
Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps Smith working until the end of the paid period. Deleting the account is a separate action, and the app says which is which.

Free, without an asterisk

Everything the manager does is free for good.

This is not a trial and not a tier. Mod management, Nexus integration, deploy, sorting, installers and tools cost nothing and never will. The paid part is the model behind Smith and nothing else.

  • mod library, install from archive, folder or drag-and-drop
  • hardlink deploy with backup, journal and exact rollback
  • profiles with isolated saves and save checks
  • load order with drag, undoable sort and slot counters
  • light-plugin flagging with backup
  • Nexus Mods downloads, updates and collections
  • FOMOD wizard and external tools
  • Mod Organizer 2 import, group captions, notes, search
  • INI settings, ENB and ReShade presets
  • crash log reading with local signatures
  • quarantine and format checks
  • local Smith checks: overlaps, masters, drift, what will load

Subscribing

From the app, tied to your account.

A Smith subscription is bought from the account menu inside Modsmith and belongs to your account, not to a computer. Sign in on up to 3 devices and the allowance is shared between them.

Account

Sign-in is needed only for Smith. It is handled through an identity provider in your browser; we never see your password. Everything else in the app works as a guest.

Checkout

Payment goes through Xsolla, which handles cards, local payment methods, invoices and taxes. Your card details go to them, not to us. We receive the status of the subscription.

Offline

Once activated, Smith's allowance keeps working for a grace period without a connection. The app tells you when it needs to check in again.

Questions about billing, invoices or refunds go to [email protected]. The refund policy and the terms of service spell out the rest.

Start with the free part.

Install Modsmith, bring a build in, and meet Smith's local checks before you decide on a plan.
